What is kidney disease?

Kidneys are the two bean-shaped organs in your body, each about the size of a fist. They filter extra water and wastes out of your blood and make urine. Kidney disease means your kidneys are damaged and can’t filter blood the way they should. You are at a greater risk for kidney disease if you have diabetes or high blood pressure.

Treatment of kidney disease depends on the underlying cause. Often, though, chronic kidney disease has no cure. Treatment-plan usually consists of measures to control the signs and symptoms, manage complications, and slow progression of the disease. If your kidneys become severely damaged, you may need treatment for end-stage kidney disease, which often involves an artificial filtering system for the blood known as dialysis or a kidney transplant.

Stem Cells

Stem cell therapy is highly anti-inflammatory, reducing chronic inflammation within the body to levels that allow healing to occur when otherwise inhibited. In terms of Kidney Disease, the levels of inflammation would be high throughout the body. By lowering inflammation markers to normal levels, the body can begin to regenerate the tissue required for normal function.
