Botox Injection

This prescription medicine is a muscle relaxant used as an injection into muscles for temporarily relaxing overactive and tense muscles. This anti-wrinkle treatment smoothens dynamic wrinkles and unwanted lines, resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. This treatment works well for forehead-lines, frown-lines and smile-lines (crow’s feet).

This fast and effective treatment is both a therapeutic and preventive measure for treating wrinkles. Early use of small amounts of Botox (called Micro Botox) in key-areas can prevent wrinkles, especially around the forehead and frown-lines. Results are visible after a week and usually last up to 4-6 months. At TDOX, our clinicians know how to make the results look and feel natural.

Botox is injected into hypertrophic masseter muscles to reduce the width of the lower face below the cheekbones. As a result, the masseter muscles relax and shrink, giving you a slimmer lower-face, which is oval and less square appearing. It is advisable to repeat this treatment every 3-6 months to maintain the effect.

Advantages of Botox Injection

Botulinum Toxin A, found in Botox, prevents muscle contractions by attacking the proteins that trigger the contractions, this leads to reduced wrinkles, since the muscles do not contract or move.

After the first BOTOX injection, you can decide whether to continue with the treatment or not. After some time, the skin returns to its original shape since the change is not permanent.

Once you receive the BOTOX injection, you can see results within 2-7 days. In most cases, Botox is 100% effective.

Botox Injections may cause a tiny bruise, but in most cases, it leaves no swelling or marks on the skin.

If you want to carry out a cosmetic procedure to refresh your facial features, then Botox is a safe and convenient method compared to plastic surgery.

The FDA has approved Botox for use as a cosmetic procedure since it has minimal risks and few side effects.

There is minimal health risk associated with Botox procedure. As always, pregnant women are advised not to use drugs, including Botox, because there is a small chance of it spreading to the unborn baby.
