EECP

E-ECP (Enhanced External Counter Pulsation)

EECP is an alternative, non-invasive, out-patient procedure for heart diseases such as angina, coronary artery disease or other heart-related issues. EECP creates a NATURAL BYPASS without the need for an invasive surgery.

How does it work?

The treatment is administered by three pairs of external, inflatable cuffs applied around the lower legs, upper legs and buttocks.

During the procedure, the patient is connected to telemetry monitors to monitor their heart rate and rhythm.

The cuffs continuously inflate and deflate between the resting periods of the heartbeat (based on the individual’s electrocardiogram) and increase the quantity of blood returned to the heart.

During the procedure, nitric oxide is released in the blood vessels due to friction created by blood flowing against the inner layer of the blood vessels. Nitric oxide increases the width of the blood vessels, thus making blood flow through the body easier.
