Liver Disease

Liver disease is any disturbance of liver function that causes illness. The liver is responsible for many critical functions within the body and should it become diseased or injured, loss of those functions can cause significant damage to the body. Liver disease is also known as hepatic disease.

Treatment for liver disease depends on your diagnosis. Some liver problems are manageable with lifestyle modifications, such as stopping alcohol consumption or maintaining a healthy weight, typically as part of a medical program that includes careful monitoring of the liver function. Whilst other liver problems may be treated with medications or may require surgery. Liver disease that causes or has led to liver failure may ultimately need a liver transplant.

Stem Cells

Mesenchymal stem cells are among the most ‘multipotent’ stem cells that remain in our bodies after birth, meaning they can make a variety of different cell types.

Many trials have shown that patients with liver cirrhosis have benefitted from autologous adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells. We have proven results on reversing the detrimental effects of hepatitis, cirrhosis and liver damage due to drugs with MSC therapy.
